Troubleshooting Guide: Connecting Your Instagram Account

If you're having trouble connecting your Instagram account to our dashboard, please follow these steps to fix the issue. While it may take a few attempts, we always ensure our clients get connected successfully.

Step 1: Check Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

  • If 2FA is enabled, Instagram may require you to confirm a login attempt on your smartphone and enter a 6-digit code.
  • To check if you have 2FA enabled, refer to Instagram’s guide on 2FA.

Step 2: Basic Troubleshooting

✅ Ensure you are logged into Instagram on your smartphone.

✅ If you see a prompt on Instagram stating "We have detected a new login," select "This was me."

✅ Confirm that your email and phone number in your Instagram account are up to date.

✅ Check your Spam and Social folders (especially for Gmail users) if you're waiting for a verification code.

✅ Refresh your browser or clear cache and cookies before trying again.

✅ If you still face issues, wait 15-30 minutes before attempting again.

  • 💡 Our success rate for connecting accounts is 100% with these steps!

Step 3: Confirm Login from a Trusted Device

  • We recommend using the third verification method: "Confirm Login from Trusted Device."
  • On the first attempt, Instagram will ask you to confirm your login on the mobile app.
  • After you confirm, try again, and your account should connect successfully on the second attempt.

Step 4: Fixing Common Issues

🔹 Frequent Disconnections?

  • If you experience frequent disconnections, disable location services for Instagram in your phone settings.

🔹 Username Not Found?

  • If you see an error stating your username cannot be found, reset your Instagram password through the app.
  • Once done, try adding your account again, and it should work!
